Hey I'm Nate and I specialize in CAD modeling and 3D printing for business and personal projects. I work as a Quality Technician programming high end quality measuring machines and making fixtures via 3D printing for said machines. If you are a company or an individual that wants CAD or 3d printing services give me a call or an email!

CAD Programs that I'm familiar with:

Contracted Parts + Assemblies

Battery Tester

This was a contracted solution which solved a problem for molding a high density data cable assembly. By testing continuity of the cable header to a mating part before final assembly the battery testers were able to aid in catching scrap at the source and reduce RMAs.

Part Stacker

This is a simple holder / container / "Stacker" which helps operators and inspectors with verifying count, while also keeping  expensive parts from damage.

Bug vice

To insert contacts into these miniature parts the old process was double stick tape to a metal block.

Now a vice mounted fixture wraps securely around and holds the parts in place.

Nail sorter

When supply of the correct length and gauge nail could only be bought in bulk, yet the customer wanted 20 per bag in the final product, there had to be a sorting system to help. The workers that had to count nails by hand were grateful for an alternative!

Personal Projects

Multi Circuit Guitar Pedals

I have been working on handmade and 3D printed guitar FX/Pedals. Sourcing high quality components into personally tweaked versions of hard to find guitar FX combined with the cost savings of the enclosure makes this a compelling option for guitar players.

The main technical challenges were and are:

Rubik's Speed Cube Caddy

Solving rubik's cubes competitively requires upkeep of cubes, and this caddy is the best way that I could keep everything together.
